How do we get to know history? We are used to learn of the past through books and movies. But soon it will be possible to experience history in virtual worlds by being part of it. We won’t only see historical events but we will be able to say that we have experienced them ourselves.
We presented our ideas about this vision at our exhibition at the SL6B festival in Second Life®
Although we had only two weeks to implement our ideas we succeeded in creating a stunning project catching a lot of attention. The true-to-scale recreation of the Brandenburg Gate was stunning, as were the amazing lighting effects. Another project highlight was the option to time travel to the year of 1961.
